Individual colour values are facts and are not owned by anyone. The curated palettes, written reference material and articles on this site are ColorSift’s and are not licensed for bulk republication. Quoting with a link is fine and welcome.
Third-party colour systems referenced here — Pantone, RAL, Material, Tailwind, Bootstrap and Apple’s system colours — are the trade marks and property of their respective owners. ColorSift is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a licensee of any of them, and the values are reproduced for reference and interoperability.
The tools aim to be correct and the conversions follow published formulae, but the site is provided as-is with no warranty. Colour rendering also depends on your display, its calibration and its colour profile. Do not rely on an on-screen match for print, brand compliance or accessibility sign-off without verifying it yourself.
Contrast results follow WCAG 2.1. Passing a contrast check is a necessary condition for accessible text, not a sufficient one, and it is not a substitute for an accessibility audit.
There is no uptime commitment. Tools may change or be removed. URLs for published pages will be kept working, or redirected, wherever it is reasonable to do so.
