La proprietà CSS text-shadow è stata introdotta per la prima volta in CSS2 (1998), rimossa in CSS2.1 e reintrodotta in CSS3 con ampio supporto browser dal 2011.
Più ombre di testo possono creare effetti come testo 3D, bagliore al neon e goffratura senza alcuna immagine.
